DEDICATION DAY

The Wooster Square Monument Committee proudly presents Indicando la via al futuro (Pointing the Way to the Future). This life-sized sculpture of a young immigrant family’s arrival to America was created by Branford artist Marc-Anthony Massaro.

Indicando will stand in the center of a new Wooster Square memorial honoring the contributions of New Haven’s Italian immigrants. The sculpture celebrates the courage of people who left the only home they knew with the hope of realizing the American dream. Little did they know their overseas voyage would be the easy part of their new life.
